Ukraine’s anti-corruption agencies have transferred about 44 million hryvnias ($1.04 million) recovered through plea agreements in corruption cases—approved by the High Anti-Corruption Court—to the Spilnota Sternenka charity to buy first-person-view (FPV) attack drones for the Armed Forces, channeling illicit funds into immediate battlefield equipment.
Over the past three years, similar plea deals have redirected roughly 2.9 billion hryvnias ($68.9 million) from corruption cases to defense needs. In 2023, one plea agreement sent 50 million hryvnias ($1.22 million) to United24’s Army of Drones after an attempted $5 million bribe, with total transfers in that case later reaching about 855.5 million hryvnias ($20.9 million).
