A Brazilian suspected of being one of the world’s largest drug lords, accused of shipping over 45 tonnes of cocaine from South America to Europe, was extradited from Hungary to Belgium on June 15 to stand trial, Hungarian policesaid Friday.

A Hungary courtruledthat a notorious Brazilian drug baron involved in large-scale shipments of cocaine to Europe should be extradited to either Belgium, the United States, or his home country.

Portuguese policeraided 55 locations throughout Lisbon and Porto and arrested nine individuals allegedly linked to one of the biggest drug traffickers in the country whose network is believed to have shipped tonnes of cocaine from South America to ports and airports in Portugal.
