OCCRP Condemns State-Affiliated Media Campaign Tying OCCRP Editor to Serbian Crime Gang

The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) is deeply concerned by a mounting assault by Serbian tabloid news outlets on our colleague, Stevan Dojčinović, who is both an OCCRP regional editor and the editor in chief of KRIK, a major Serbian news outlet focusing on crime and corruption.

OCCRP Concerned by Steps that Compromise Independence of Partner Network Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty

Recent steps taken by the current leadership of the U.S. Agency for Global Media compromise the independence of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL), a long-standing partner of OCCRP in some of the world’s most challenging environments for independent reporting. OCCRP fears a loss of credibility for RFE/RL could have dire effects for independent journalists and citizens at a historic time for truth and accountability.

OCCRP and Partners From Kyrgyzstan Win Top U.S. Award for Crime Reporting

A joint team from OCCRP,  RFE/RL's Radio Azattyk, and OCCRP member center Kloop has received the 2019 Tom Renner Award from Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE)  for Plunder and Patronage in the Heart of Central Asia, a series of stories that expose a massive outflow of dark money from Kyrgyzstan.

Skoll Award Marks Major Investment to Scale OCCRP's Impact

The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) has received the 2020 Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship, given to a select group of social entrepreneurs whose innovations have already had significant, proven impact on some of the world’s most pressing problems — and who are poised to scale that impact. The award includes a $1.5 million core support grant over the next three years.
