Applicants should submit a brief proposal, no more than one page, along with a budget outlining their needs. These grants are intended to offer core support for items such as salaries, rent, reporting-related travel, etc. As such, each proposal should describe the organization’s overarching goals for the coming year, as well as evidence of past work and impact.
Funding Information
Applicants should send a simple budget ranging from $20,000 to $45,000.
The project implementation period is limited to 6 months (November 1, 2025 - April 30, 2026), with a possibility of further funding for an additional 12 months.
Eligibility Criteria
Any non-profit investigative media organization that demonstrates a commitment to high-quality investigative reporting on crime and corruption, and is willing to collaborate with OCCRP and our network on investigations and training, is eligible to apply.
Grantees must carry out a financial audit for the project after it concludes. The proposed budget must include funds for the audit.
Selection Criteria
The selection committee will look for outlets that show strong editorial independence, a clear commitment to investigative journalism, a high standard of previous work, financial transparency, and a willingness to collaborate with fellow Ukrainian media organizations and with OCCRP. Outlets must also agree to adhere to our rigorous standards for fact-checking.
Up to five recipients will be selected.
