Jail Crunch: Eastern European Prisons Visualized
Welcome to JailCrunch, an interactive investigative graphic from the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) and its member organizations. JailCrunch visualizes prison data across Eastern Europe and compares inmate populations between 12 countries from the region. The site also features a section called “Interviews from the Inside,” short video interviews between OCCRP reporters and inmates from across Eastern Europe. Every few weeks, a new interview will appear on the site exploring the lives of convicted criminals, and how their particular crimes were executed.
