A U.S. federal court has sentenced Michael Pratt, the owner and operator of the porn website GirlsDoPorn, to 27 years in prison for orchestrating a sex trafficking scheme that raped, abused, and exploited hundreds of young women, the Justice Department said. Prosecutors said Pratt built a multimillion-dollar criminal enterprise by luring women with false promises, coercing them into performing in adult films, and exposing their identities online.
The sentencing follows Pratt’s 2022 arrest in Spain and a civil trial in which the court convicted him and other defendants, including his former business partner and the site’s cameraman, Matthew Isaac Wolfe, who received a 14-year sentence. Forty victims, most aged 18 to 21 at the time, urged the court to impose the maximum penalty.
