Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office have launched a large-scale operation to dismantle a high-level criminal organization accused of using political influence over strategic state-owned energy companies, including nuclear operator Energoatom.
The 15-month investigation produced about 1,000 hours of audio recordings documenting the group’s activities, the agencies said. Investigators allege the network ran a systematic scheme to steer decisions at key state enterprises for private gain. Officials said additional procedural steps are underway and more details will be released later.
