Jordanian customs officials have seized 517,000 Captagon pills smuggled from an undisclosed neighboring country, state news agency Petra reported Wednesday. According to the official statement, the shipment was transported in a single truck and concealed inside special fabricated metal compartments designed to evade detection.

Captagon, an amphetamine-like stimulant, is the most widely used drug in the Middle East, with Syria believed to be the top producer.
