Based in Portugal, Charlie Michio Turner is a product manager, responsible for building OCCRP’s digital products, like the newsletter and Accomplice program. Charlie joined OCCRP in 2020 as engagement editor, connecting the editorial team and investigations to audiences around the world. Previously, he covered labor rights and politics as a freelance reporter in Myanmar and the United States. After graduating from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Social Journalism in 2017, he developed crowd-sourced journalism projects and digital news products with WikiTribune and Patch Media.
