OCCRP's work is made possible through public and private funding from a range of institutions and the generosity of individual supporters.

If you are angry about the impact of organized crime and corruption on ordinary people, particularly in countries facing deep economic and political challenges, donating to OCCRP is one of the best and most efficient ways to change things.

Through our investigations, billions of dollars in assets have been frozen or seized by law enforcement, and millions of dollars in hidden assets have been recovered by tax authorities. Our stories have led to criminal investigations, indictments and arrests involving more than 80 people. And we've seen senior politicians, including a prime minister, forced to resign.

In other words, our total budget is dwarfed by the impact of our stories - meaning that returns on money invested in OCCRP run at more than 50,000 percent.

How we spend your donation

For every $1 given to OCCRP, we spend at least 86 cents directly on investigative journalism – salaries, documents, technological development, publishing and more. The other 14 cents is spent on office and administrative costs.

Our overheads are lower than many other non-profits, including those in our field. Some organizations spend up to 10% of their annual budget on fundraising; we currently spend less than 2% on this.

We aim to be as efficient as possible and make sure your money is spent on the stories. Your donation could help fund a wide range of OCCRP activities including:

We pledge to our supporters that we will:
