Program Assistant, Impact Department and the Global Anti-Corruption Consortium
Mariia Mamedbekova joined OCCRP in 2023 and is a program assistant for the impact department, which works to expand the use of investigative journalism by groups dedicated to protecting democracy and combatting corruption and organized crime. She is also the program assistant for the Global Anti-Corruption Consortium, a partnership led by OCCRP and Transparency International that accelerates the fight against corruption by connecting investigative journalism to civil society advocacy.
Previously, she worked as a project manager at the Anti-Corruption Research and Education Centre in Ukraine. As an OSUN Fellow, she worked as a visiting researcher at the European Center for Anti-Corruption and State-Building (ERCAS). She completed a master’s degree in international relations at the Institute of International Relations (Ukraine) as well as a master’s degree in public policy at Hertie School (Germany).
