FC Rapid - Bucharest

Established in 1923, Rapid has won three national championships and 13 Cups.

Constantin Toma, president of the board of directors, was on the board of Dinamo several years ago.

The club has two major owners: Fotbal Club Rapid Bucharest and a Cyprus off-shore firm, Megapearl Ltd. The major individual investor is George Copos, a former vice prime minister now under investigation by anticorruption prosecutors for tax evasion and money laundering in connection with football transfers. Copos was sent before the court in June 2006; the proceedings have not been completed.
