Luke Anderson, who had been living with his girlfriend in the coastal city of Pattaya, was wanted for drug offenses in Western Australia, where he had also been arrested for possession of illegal weapons, according to a press release from Thai authorities, via the AP.
Police canceled Anderson’s visa and will deport him to Australia to face trial. In Thailand, Anderson had also been implicated in a 2016 assault on two Thai men, alongside two other Australian attackers.
Another Hells Angels member, Australian Wayne Scheider, was killed in Pattaya in 2015 by Antonio Bagnato, another Australian expatriate and criminal associate, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.
The Hells Angels Motorcycle Club has between 2,000 and 2,500 members in over 230 chapters located in the United States and 26 other countries, according to a 2017 report from the United States Department of Justice.
“The Hells Angels are involved in the production, transportation and distribution of marijuana and methamphetamine,” alongside the trafficking of cocaine, heroin, and other illicit substances, reads the report. They also commit other crimes, including homicides, money laundering and motorcycle theft.
