But then last week, OCCRP, the Guardian, and the Financial Times published an investigation that revealed key new details about these allegations against the politically connected Indian company.
This story has serious political implications in India because of Adani’s widely perceived closeness to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and its central role in his plan for developing the country.
