Director, Programs

Based in the U.S., Katie Hunt is the Director of Programs. She is responsible for overseeing the operations of the programs team, managing communications with donors, and measuring and evaluating the impact of the organization. Katie also plays a critical strategic role in designing, developing, and implementing new projects and initiatives, as well as identifying growth opportunities for OCCRP.

Before transitioning into this role in 2023, Katie was the development manager at OCCRP, where she worked across teams to shape projects and proposals for funding. Prior to that, she worked on the development team for the Global Economy and Development Program at the Brookings Institution. She has also worked in development for the Fuller Project, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the Sigma Delta Chi Foundation. Katie holds a master’s degree in nonprofit management from Indiana University as well as bachelor’s degrees in economics and international studies from Wittenberg University. She lives with her husband and their pets, and in her free time, she enjoys reading and visiting bookstores.
