When journalists at Süddeutsche Zeitung received a leak of over 18,000 accounts from Credit Suisse, one of Switzerland’s largest banks, they knew they couldn’t sift through the data alone. So they contacted OCCRP, which helped bring in 163 journalists from 48 media outlets across 39 countries.

The result of this collaborative effort was Suisse Secrets, an investigation that uncovers how Credit Suisse has held accounts for corrupt politicians, intelligence officials, and other unsavory clients despite pledges to crack down on dubious funds.

Some of the OCCRP and Süddeutsche Zeitung journalists behind Suisse Secrets will share their findings in a live webinar on February 24, from 18:00 to 19:00 CET.

In this virtual event moderated by OCCRP Deputy Editor in Chief Julia Wallace, Frederik Obermaier (Süddeutsche Zeitung) and Antonio Baquero (OCCRP) will discuss the challenges and success stories of the project, as well as the Swiss reaction to our revelations. At the end, they will answer questions from the audience.

The event is free to attend — you just need to register.

While OCCRP webinars are typically available only to members of our Accomplice program, this event will be open to the public. However, we still encourage you to make a donation to support our investigative work. Contributions also give you access to all the other webinars we’ll hold over the next  12 months.

Please note that space is limited for this webinar, so register as soon as possible.
