The European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) and the French Customs held the 25th annual Task Group Cigarettes Conference last week, gathering European Union (EU) member states and neighboring  countries to focus on joining forces to fight tobacco smuggling and illicit cigarette production.

With the help of Europol, the Spanish National Police dismantled an organized crime network involved in human and drug trafficking as well as property crime, and arrested 24 of its suspected members, the European police agency reported on Monday.
