The U.S. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has chargedSAP, a multinational software company, with violating  the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act by bribing government officials at least in seven countries including  South Africa, Malawi, Kenya, Tanzania, Ghana, Indonesia, and Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR dished out hundreds of thousands of dollars to bring 10 members of United States Congress and 32 staff members to a conference in Baku, according to an ethics report.
