The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) is a growing, global nonprofit media organization with a staff of over 140 and operations across the globe.. By developing and equipping a global network of investigative journalists and publishing their stories, we expose crime and corruption so the public can hold power to account. Our global team includes editors, researchers, data engineers, security specialists, administrators, technologists, and strategists, each with areas of in-depth expertise.
OCCRP is recruiting an investigative reporter to help us tackle challenging stories in the Pacific Islands region. The ideal candidate has proven experience as a reporter, including in enterprise and/or investigative reporting. The candidate must be well-versed in Pacific Islands issues and should have strong contacts in the region. Ideally, they would be a citizen of a Pacific Islands nation or a member of a diaspora community. They will be responsible for pursuing investigative stories in collaboration with OCCRP network members and other Pacific Islands journalists. The reporter will work with OCCRP’s Pacific Islands editorial team. The position offers a competitive salary.
