By developing and equipping a global network of investigative journalists and publishing their stories, we expose crime and corruption so the public can hold power to account. Our global team includes editors, researchers, data engineers, security specialists, administrators, technologists, strategists, corruption experts, and connectors each with areas of in-depth expertise.
This is an exciting role to build out and grow the tech support we provide to journalists, often working in risky environments. This is a management position within our Technology Department reporting to the CTO. As Head of Tech Support you will be responsible for managing the IT HelpDesk and our Information Security Support. The IT HelpDesk provides front line technical support to staff in Sarajevo and abroad, as well as our wider network of journalists across the world. Our front line digital security response and training program responds to digital security threats and incidents, provides advice and training to member centres that are part of our DigCen community and works to implement digital security best practice and policies across the organization. In addition to overseeing day to day operations, you will lead strategic, transformational projects to ensure we have the right technology to meet OCCRP’s needs as it continues to expand.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing high quality support and services with a keen focus on end user satisfaction. We need a systematic thinker who wants to build processes and systems to track, document and streamline our support work.
