  • Report: Fraud in US Hospice Care

    Hospice, the Medicare service that provides end-of-life care, has been identifying patients who are not eligible for hospice care, giving families false information about the care they will receive, billing for services not provided, paying physicians for recruiting patients, and charging Medicare millions for services that do not meet requirements, according to a report released Tuesday by theOffice of Inspector General (OIG) at the US Department of Health.
