Samisoni Pareti
Senior Investigator, Pacific Region
Based in Fiji, Samisoni Pareti joined OCCRP in 2022 as a senior investigator covering the Pacific region. Previously, he covered the region for radio, newspaper, television, and online news outlets, writing stories for the Associated Press, Agence-France Presse, and ABC (Australia). While he was editor of the Fiji Sun newspaper in 2000, his story on a “mafia queen” resulted in her deportation. In 2015, he and a group of journalists in Fiji bought the Pacific islands’ sole surviving news monthly, Islands Business.
