Based in Tallinn, Estonia, Holger Roonemaa joined OCCRP in 2018 and is a regional editor for the Baltics. Holger’s main areas of investigation include corruption, money laundering, Russia’s influence, propaganda, and espionage activities in the Baltic countries.
He runs an investigative team at Ekspress Meedia, a media company which operates several newspapers and the online news site Delfi. He has also been extensively covering the growing interests of China in the region. Holger has been a finalist for Estonain journalism awards multiple times, including the Bonnier Award for investigative journalism.
