Based in South Africa, Erin Klazar joined OCCRP in 2022 as an investigative researcher on the ID research team. Her focus is Sub-Saharan Africa.
Previously, she worked as an investigator and researcher in the civil, private, and public sectors, with a focus on commercial crimes, fraud, corruption, and state capture. She holds a master’s degree in information technology, and has an interest in cognitive and social justice and citizen journalism. She is the partner liaison for the International Centre for Information Ethics (ICIE) and a member of the UNESCO IFAP Information Accessibility Working Group.
