Based in Istanbul, David Klein joined OCCRP in 2020 as a reporter on the daily news team. In addition to covering the day’s news in the world of organized crime and corruption, David is passionate about exposing the global trade in looted and illegal antiquities.
Born and raised in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., he holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Drexel University and a master’s in journalism from Columbia University. Previously, he has worked at CNN and the Forward.
